Inventarization of Zingiberaceae in The West Block Batang Toru Forest of North Tapanuli North Sumatra

Zingiberaceae is one of the dominating plant family in West Block, Batang Toru forest region. According to preliminary survey, inhabited by many species while information on its richness still limited. The aim study was collect region, conducted from July September 2018. Inventarization using exploration method, exploring along designated tracking ways. found 18 belonging 10 genera obtained, two them were Alpinia hansenii and Boesenbergia belalongensis new record Sumatra. From all that found, known live as epiphytes other 16 terresterials. occur varying habitats, starting edge, open area with optimum sunlight inside floor. most belong Globba Amomum.Batang Forest
